The best Farmhouse finds at Ikea

When we started fixing up our little house to give it more of that farmhouse style I have always loved, and dreamed of, I immediately researched the best prices for some of the pieces I knew I wanted.. and I learned that almost every single item I was obsessed with was available for a fraction of the price at Ikea!

Ektorp Sofa

We ordered our sofas online, but the first 4 hour drive we took to Ikea was for a matching ottoman and Jute rug a few years ago. We went on a Saturday and we were honestly a little overwhelmed and lost when we finally got there. It was very crowded. My biggest piece of advice is to go during the week if all possible. During the week the store is so peaceful and not crowded and it’s easier to look at everything and not feel rushed or uncomfortable. Their website offers a store list option. Find the items you like and add them to the list and the information they give will tell you exactly which area to find it in the store. The store is set up into different areas with different items. Taking advantage of this feature can save lots of time and confusion at the store. If you see an item you like when shopping in the showroom at the store be sure to take a picture on your phone of the tag with the location info so you can easily find it in the self service area or marketplace.

One of the best purchases I’ve made at Ikea is their pillows! They are my absolute favorite! The linen textured ones are by far the style I like the most! They are so soft and durable in the wash. I’ve had some of mine for years and they still look great. Here are the links for the white and neutral covers I have pictured.

Jute Rug Link

Their Jute rug is called LOHALS. The size I chose was 6’7 – 9’10 and it was only 139.00 This large rug had to be picked up in the Self Service Area. We learned this the hard way after searching in the rug dept for a long time. I purchased this rug about 4 years ago and then again a few weeks ago. I was really happy with it and couldn’t find a better deal anywhere so I went with the same one again! I will warn you, with all Jute rugs, they do shed some at first, but I love the texture and style they add to a space so it’s worth the shedding to me.  Vacuuming daily does help some, but I still find fibers on our dark clothes for quite some time.

DOMSJO Double Bowl Apron Front Sink

Another Ikea find in our home is our Farmhouse sink. I wanted a farmhouse sink for as long as I can remember! I had dreamed of one!! When I realized Ikea had one I was so excited because it was about half the cost of the next lowest price, ceramic farmhouse sink out there. I actually ended up with one for $70 bucks with a chip in the As Is section but they only run $313.00 brand new. The As Is section is a good place to look for bargains. Some items are floor models and they will be marked down or some have defects like my sink that are marked way down.

FEJKA Plant

Ikea has a great collection of faux plants too. These little sage plants I have in my Rae Dunn Clay planters were some of the cutest plants I’ve ever purchased. They look so authentic! I couldn’t find this exact style online but I linked the closest small potted plant available to view online. I am already regretting not getting the faux fiddle fig they have that I saw on my last trip. They also have florals and lots of cute planters, watering cans and atriums. I have some of those as well and I really love how simple and pretty they are.

SOARE Placemat

I also love how lots of their pieces are neutral and can be used year round, like these plate chargers. They were so inexpensive! Only 3.99 each and they add the perfect touch to any plate.

I have purchased several other amazing items too, like duvets, shelves, toys, kitchenware, etc, but these finds I mentioned here were some of my most favorite! Do y’all love the great farmhouse bargains at Ikea as much as I do?

Hope y’all are enjoying the end of summer and back to school time! We have homeschool starting up and it’s been a really busy time, so this post has been a long time coming. But I really wanted to share with you guys all my budget friendly farmhouse finds from Ikea. This was not a sponsored post and I was not compensated in any way for my opinion. I just wanted to let my farmhouse decor lovin’ buddies in on all my great finds! I hope it helped!  Have a blessed day, y’all!
